Our Story
Dear Community,
I have worked to serve and build community for over 25 years. During this time, I have worked for mainstream organizations that did not serve The Black Community. Nor did they connect The Black Community with appropriate services. My passion for community is overflowing, and the goal has always been to heal what has been historically and currently harming Black folks. Through education, awareness, and empowerment, we needed to get the message out, and hear from the community. This is what inspired me to apply for my 501(c)3, to be the change in which I want to see and give my community what they need. In 2017, The Silent Task Force became an IRS-identified 501(c)3, and we provided an array of services from our personal vehicles. Because our relationship with the community began to expand, we started seeking a brick and mortar to host all the services we were providing at the time, and the services we envisioned to implement. We were blessed to find a space in the heart of Skyway, the last standing ancestrally black neighborhood in Seattle.
This website is only a small glimpse of The Silent Task Force, a multigenerational Black Women owned and ran organization. We have accomplished tremendous work over the last 7 years, but we have so much more in store for our community.

Our Mission
At the core of The Silent Task Force lies a passionate and dedicated multi-generational team, unified by the shared ambition of sculpting a better tomorrow. Together, we tackle pressing issues head-on, dissecting complexities and forging solutions that ripple into the depths of our communities to engage, educate, and provide resources/services to our community. Our goal is to heal the impact and effects of the systemic violence that occurs historically and currently in the lives of our black families and communities. We believe in the power of equity, the beauty of inclusion, and the strength of diversity.
